This tour introduces the inspiring towns, culture and the real taste of authentic people throughout the whole country. Take the opportunity to mingle the diverse architecture of the city, magnificent Shwedagon pagoda and bustling Indian town in Yangon.
Continue to Shan Hill to explore British Hill station, Kalaw and cruising the Inle Lake by private boat to explore ways of Ihtha life , floating garden and hidden Indein pagoda complex.
Discovery on Royal Palace, 200 years old bridge, some cottage industries and Mandalay Hill in Mandalay. Wonder Bagan ancient temples and nearby villages to see local products and daily life. Your tour will conclude in Yangon with a visit to colorful Chinatown with some foodies and a glass of beer on the last eve.

Tour Details

Arrival at Yangon. On arrival, you will be welcome and transfer to downtown with a brief introduction enroute.

Check in at hotel (guarantee early check in)
Start your exploration of Yangon with a walking tour taking in some of the best examples of the city’s wonderful colonial architecture, the lovely Mahabandoola Garden and Independence Monument as well as the lively Indian Quarters. Later this afternoon, take a walk along the promenade of Kandawgyi Lake.
Finally, end the day at the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon’s crowning glory.

Flight to Heho and continue to Kalaw – Kalaw explorer including lunch

Transfer to airport for flight to Heho (1 hour flight).
On arrival at Heho, a scenic drive to Kalaw. Meet up with your trekking guide at hotel for a full day trek in the hills beyond Kalaw, hiking amidst beautiful landscapes and remote hilltribes - a special experience of culture and nature. Traverse gentle rolling green hills peppered with farms and villages. Stop in hill tribe villages, where the way of life has remained untouched by time. Along the way, enjoy lunch in a local house, before heading back to Kalaw for the night (lunch included). Trekking grade : easy to moderate

Dream Mountain Resort with its European Style appointed rooms with large window and balcony make your feeling a kind of romantic. Surrounded by pine trees and green mountains its atmosphere will give you relaxtion. Here you can explore the hill station feeling, which made Kalaw famous many decades ago.

Collect your luggage and take a short orientation tour of the town to see the some colonial architecture and the charming old train station before heading to Pindaya.

The drive passes through rolling hills used as farms and a lot of activity planting or harvesting the crops depending on the time. Visit Pindaya with its complex of multi-chambered caves filled with hundreds of Buddha relics.. A stop is made at a small workshop to see how traditional Shan paper and umbrellas are made using the bark of the mulberry tree. Continue overland to Nyaung Shwe, gateway to Inle Lake.

Overnight in Nyaung Shwe – 2 nights

Recently opened “ Mount Inle Hotel ” is an unique well design blended with landscape located next to a dusty and noisy street; however amazingly quiet inside compound with lovely garden.
Each room with a nice wooden balcony offer very good view and enough day light. Tastefully decorated cozy style cottages are big, comfortable, clean and big windows offer enough day light. Modern bathrooms with en suite showers and toilets match international upscale hotel standards. All rooms have air conditioning and wifi access. Restaurant decorated with local crafts serves a variety of dishes and will give you a nice friendly family atmosphere. Hotel is walking distance to the market, town cente ,jetty to the Inle Lake and nearby villages.

Your first stop will be the region’s morning market, which rotates its location around the lake’s villages in a 5-day rhythm and which is a chance to meet some of the people who gather here from the surrounding hilltribe villages.
See the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, then visit some villages known for their local crafts including those which specialize in the production of handmade ‘cheroot’ (typical Burmese cigars)
Cruise along foliage cloaked canals to the lakeside village of In Dein in the afternoon. Here you will explore the ancient stupas of Nyaung Ohak and Shwe Inn Thein Paya. The structures date from the 17th and 18th centuries and while some have been restored.
You will also have time to take a stroll around this enchanting village before cruising back to the shore.

 

 

Depart Nyaung Shwe on your 6 hour drive to Mandalay following a narrow hilly road through the evergreen Shan Hills offering picturesque vistas of local villages and farmlands

The views are pleasant – a mixture of palm trees, villages and paddy fields dominate the landscape.
Make a stop at the ancient royal capital of Amarapura where we can walk along U Bein Bridge, a 200 year-old teak bridge which spans over 2 km and offers fabulous views of the surrounding farmlands and streams before transfer to the city.
Arrive Mandalay and check in at hotel.

Spacious and clean hotel with good amenities, including swimming pool and rooftop bar/restaurant, where breakfast is served. Restaurant prices are reasonable for both food and drinks. Although most of the staff speak limited English, they make up for it in friendliness. Location within a 10 minute walk to the main gate of the Mandalay Royal Palace.

 

 

Begin your sightseeing tour of Mandalay with a visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, second most sacred image in Myanmar and a lively Jade market in the morning.

Then, venture through the backstreets to see some cottage industries in action, such as the making of sugarcane candy and famous Myint Myint Khin Htoe Mote (oily snacks with seeds) and La Mote.
After lunch, continue your tour of Mandalay with a visit to Mandalay Royal Palace, where Burma's last two kings lived. End the day with with a sunset view from Mandalay Hill.

 

 

Set off for a scenic journey to Bagan.

This road takes you through the dry-zone of Myanmar – in summer brown and deserted – in winter green with rice fields. Witness local activities on the bus and scenery of Myingyan plain & white temples.
Make a stop at Mt. Popa, a 1,518m high extinct volcano to enjoy wonderful views of the surrounding area Arrive at Bagan in time for sunset.

Close to the pagodas of the old city, this hotel in New Bagan sits in a pretty private garden and offers guests a quiet, relaxing stay. The archaeological zone of Old Bagan, only a 20-minute ride away by pony cart, is one of Myanmar’s most impressive historical sites with many unique temples and ancient art. The Ruby True Hotel has private villas furnished with local teak wood and equipped with modern amenities. It also serves international and local cuisine in its on-site restaurant.



 

 

Optional sunrise balloon tour.

Around 0530 hours the Balloon over Bagan shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel (your guide will tell you the exact pick up time). You will drive to the departure ground of the Balloons. While the team makes the Balloon ready to go, you enjoy some refreshments, but you can also take great pictures of this event. Then, depending on the wind, you will over fly Bagan for about one hour, and enjoy spectacular views of the ancient Kingdom of Bagan in your hot air balloon! The tour ends…..where ever the wind has brought you. A glass of sparkling wine ends this fantastic event….and the shuttle bus then brings you back to your hotel.

Your discovery in Old Bagan begins with some of the site’s most important monuments such HtilominloTemple, , one of the greater temples of Bagan, Ananda temple, an architectural masterpiece, built 1105 AD in the early Mon-style, Ananda contains two unique Buddha images whose expressions seem to change depending on the distance and angle from which the statues are viewed. Continue to Thatbyinnyu Temple standing within the city walls, rises to a height of 201 feet above the ground and overtops all the other monuments, Gubyaukgyi Temple which dates back to the 13th century AD and Sulamani Guphaya Temple.
You will return to your hotel for a couple of hours to escape the hottest part of the day.
Later this afternoon, end the day atop a pagoda which affords a magnificent sunset view of Bagan's temple studded plains.

On arrival at Yangon, transfer to down town. A visit to National Museum to observe an 8 meter- high Golden Lion Throne and Mandalay Royal Regalia.
After lunch, explore the famous Scott Market (closed on Monday and public holidays), a sprawling complex built in 1926 and noted for its variety of handicrafts, art galleries and other items which provides an excellent opportunity for a shopping spree .
Later in the afternoon, a transfer to brilliant China town to experience local street foods in the road side market at 19th Street (in Chinatown, west end of downtown), a popular place to find inexpensive local draught Beer, together with vegetable and meat sa-tays (BBQ). Venture into the stalls selling everything from flowers to seafood, spices to fresh tofu. Try a range of local delicacies with a couple of local beer and soak up Yangon’s atmosphere at night.
Return way to hotel on your own.
